Whether you’ve never been to our studios or you have been a member since day one, we know there are always questions to be asked.
Take a read below and hopefully you find all your answers here!
THE STUDIOS
What classes do you run?
We run Reformer Pilates and lots of it! We also run our studio classes which are Mat Pilates, Boxing, Barre Sculpt, Cardio Pilates and Yoga – you can find all of our class descriptions here.
How do I book classes?
You can book all of our classes using our app, Pilates Plus (available to download in the app store, find the link on our app page) or using our website booking page. Being a boutique fitness studio, bookings are a must for all of our classes.
Why can’t I book classes?
Bookings for Reformer classes using memberships may cause some confusion. Reformer classes in memberships run weekly per your billing schedule e.g. If your membership is paid on a Tuesday, your booking week will run Tuesday to Monday.
If this does not seem to be the issue, please CONTACT us to that this can be fixed for you!
Class pass holders who have recently purchased a pack and have already booked in your first class, this will be the date your pack is activated. If you wish to book a class earlier than this date please CONTACT us so we can change the activation date!
I have never done Pilates before – can I do Reformer?
You sure can! We run our classes so that they are suitable for beginners to advanced so everyone is welcome!
We do this by adapting the exercises to each fitness and strength level as needed. Before your first class we will also get you to arrive 5-10 mins early so that we can set you up on the Reformer, this will help you get familiar with the machine before the class starts and help you feel comfortable right from the beginning!
Can I bring my kids?
You sure can! Kids are welcome to our mid morning classes in our kid areas as well as in reception area chairs.
Prams and capsules are also welcome in both rooms parked next to you.
We do ask that all snacks are kept to the kids area or reception chairs and away from equipment, and remind parents that they are responsible for kids during classes. We would also ask that if bringing devices (which we know is essential!), to please bring headphones.
Is there a waitlist for fully booked classes?
Yes there is, and we highly recommend adding yourself to it if your favorite class is fully booked.
Once a spot becomes available for you in the class you will receive an email asking you to CONFIRM or CANCEL your spot!
To ensure you receive this email, please double check your email settings in the app or in your profile, under ‘Settings’.
What if I am late to class?
To ensure that each class runs smoothly and without disruption it is super important to be on time. This is important as a courtesy to the others in the class and to the instructor.
We do however understand that sometimes things happen and you may be 1-2 minutes late to class. Our policy is that your spot will be held in the class for 5 minutes and that if you arrive after this time you may be turned away or your spot given to somebody else.
What should I wear to class?
Any comfortable active wear and if you are doing a Pilates or Barre class then you must have socks on! For Reformer we do recommend wearing grip socks as these are really beneficial to your workout and are available to purchase from reception. However normal socks are still fine.
Can I book classes if I am pregnant?
Yes, you can book Reformer classes while pregnant, with modifications made for you by the instructor as needed, especially after the first trimester. After the first trimester we also like to have a short 1:1 with you where we can go over the exercises that are safe for you and what modifications there are that will make the class more comfortable for you.
We do also require a medical certificate after 12 weeks stating that you are fit to exercise. This can be from your GP or hospital.
What if I have an injury?
Pilates is suitable and beneficial for many injuries and the exercises can be modified as necessary for individual injuries.
With some more serious injuries however Pilates may not be suitable or we may require a medical certificate stating you are fit to exercise. Please contact us if you are not sure: hello@pilatesplussunbury.com or have a chat with your medical professional.
Is there such as thing as too much Pilates?
We absolutely love Pilates but we do recommend mixing Pilates with our other class types to get the most out of the studio and to help you achieve your fitness goals, which is exactly why we created our studio to have the variety of classes that it does!

CANCELLATIONS AND WAITLIST POLICY
What if I can’t make my booked class?
Please cancel any bookings via the Pilates Plus app or this website as soon as you know that you can’t attend the class. You can also do this via the ‘Cancel’ button in your class booking confirmation email.
Our cancellation policy is in place to ensure everyone has a chance to attend class. Cancellations are the responsibility of the person booking the class and all class cancellations must be done via our website or the App.
We do not accept cancellations via phone, email or social media.
Cancellation Policy:
You have up until 4 hours before your class to cancel your booking without a fee in accordance with our cancellation policy. After this 4 hours our Late Cancel and No Show policy will apply and a fee of $10 will be charged.
If you are using a casual class pass, you will forfeit the pass for that class.
Remember if you do not cancel, the spot you have booked can not be given to anyone else, so we ask you to cancel as early as possible to show courtesy for your fellow studio community members.
We do understand that sometimes things happen and you cannot cancel prior to the 4 hours, in these circumstances we ask you to please email us at hello@pilatesplussunbury.com
Why does having a cancellation policy benefit me?
Everyone is more likely to get into the waitlisted classes that they wish to attend.
Members also tell us it makes them more accountable! Once they book their class they are less likely to cancel because they don’t feel like working out anymore!
Still got questions? CONTACT US and we will be sure to help!
We hope to see you in the studio soon!
